David M. Dragon, M.D.
Dr. David M. Dragon is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience, currently providing comprehensive eye care at Eye Specialists of Louisiana since 1987.
Dr. Dragon first received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans, before graduating with his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Medical School. His postgraduate training included an internship in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Foundation Hospital and residency training in Ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. To further advance his training, Dr. Dragon also completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Florida.
Throughout his training and practice experience, Dr. Dragon has given numerous presentations at national society meetings, and has also had his work published in leading medical journals, including Ophthalmology and Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
Tim D. Johnson, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Tim D. Johnson has over 25 years of experience, and has practiced at Eye Specialists of Louisiana since 1990. He previously served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge. Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Baton Rouge, and proudly provides state-of-the-art care for patients of all ages in his hometown.
In 1977, Dr. Johnson graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from the Louisiana State University Department of Zoology, and then received his medical degree from the LSU Medical School. After graduating, he completed an internship at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital and residency training in Ophthalmology at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, as well as specialized Glaucoma training through a fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine.
Outside of his practice duties, he also remains committed to the latest treatment options and has published several articles on glaucoma and related conditions, as well as presented his work at society meetings and lectured to medical students.
Thomas C. Stuckey III, M.D.
Dr. Thomas Stuckey was raised in Baton Rouge and, after completing his residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., returned home to serve the community that served him so well growing up.
Now, as a member of Eye Specialists of Louisiana, Dr. Stuckey practices comprehensive ophthalmology performing everything from glasses and contacts fittings to complicated ocular surgery. He is an experienced cataract surgeon, emphasizing the importance of optimal visual outcomes, including premium lens implants for astigmatism and near vision restoration. He also performs vision correction using the AMO iLASIK CustomVue blade-less laser suite.
In addition to his ophthalmology residency, Dr. Stuckey completed two years of general surgery training that he puts to work performing an array of oculoplastic procedures such as eyelid lifts, repair of lid malpositions and removal of eyelid lesions.
Dr. Stuckey is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is also involved in several research projects with the Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
